Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: June 17, 2026
We believe in being upfront about how baristafix.com makes money. This page explains it plainly.
The short version
baristafix is free to read and supported by advertising and affiliate commissions. Some links on the site are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes the advice we give.
Amazon Associates
baristafix.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (and its international equivalents), an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Other affiliate programs
We may also participate in affiliate programs with other retailers and manufacturers of espresso machines, parts, descalers and accessories. Where we link to those products, the same principle applies: we may earn a commission, and it costs you nothing extra.
How it works
When you click an affiliate link, the retailer may place a cookie that lets them attribute a later purchase to us. We don't see your payment details, and the price you pay is the same as it would be without our link.
Our independence
We recommend parts, tools and machines because we believe they're the right call for the job — not because of commission. A commission never buys a better mention, and we'll always tell you when the smartest option is to spend nothing at all (for example, when a fault is cheaper to live with, or a machine isn't worth repairing). This commitment is part of our editorial policy.
Advertising
We also display advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads are clearly distinguishable from our editorial content. For how advertising cookies work and how to control them, see our privacy policy.
