Nespresso Vertuo problems, fixes & maintenance
Pod machine · GCB2 · Updated June 17, 2026
The Nespresso Vertuo reads a barcode on each capsule and spins it to brew, so when something is wrong it tells you in blinks rather than words. Learning to read those light patterns is half the battle; the other half is almost always descaling, a stuck head, or a capsule the machine cannot read. Genuine hardware failures are rare.
